All my school life, I watched my mother struggle with her health issues. She would hide in dark areas of the house, grip her head tightly and bawl. Countless times she would express disgust at her iron deficiency and she not having enough energy to make it for most special events. She would become annoyed with her absenteeism from work due to heavy menstruation, and terrible weakness. Sometimes her eyes were seriously pale and expressionless. I wish I could help, but I lacked the health knowledge. Mom, I know many times you overstayed in the bathroom to hide your pain. I am sorry mommy! I am sorry many did not understand your pain. In 2017, when I was in third form, we both travelled to Canada for the summer and I met *Chris. Chris explained how the body works and the importance of certain elements for mental and physical energy.

Chris changed my outlook on life. I became more interested in achieving optimal health! Guess what? Unfortunately, I too started having heavy menstruation and occasional headaches. I was embarking mommy’s sad trail. Please note, mommy has always been a health enthusiast. In fact, she jokes that I am now a vegetarian because she was a strict vegetarian when she was pregnant with me. Being a vegetarian is not enough though. It is the combinations of food intakes.

Wallah, In 2019, I started doing extensive research on the body and started practicing on my mommy. Smile! Yes! She was my test subject. We are always shopping for health foods so, it was fairly easy to grab the necessary herbs and spices for my recipes. Most times mommy laughs and says my exotic dishes “do not full the stomach but they sure are tasty and healthy.”

My combination blends and teas have relieved mommy’s headaches. Sometimes she cant believe how fast my juices and teas work! Research mommy, research! Lol!

DeZired Balance was born in 2021 when I created: Full Joy, Oh My Callaloo and Iron Boost. Mommy joined the health fun and created Morning Burst and Lockdung!

I give God thanks for the Wisdom to create healthy blends. Now, my mommy is doing house work without even thinking, she cuts the grass, and wipes the entire house without collapsing.
